The Diabetes Intervention Program (DIP) is providing resources to community members in West Columbia.
Angela Crespo could hardly contain her elation when talking about the Diabetes Intervention Program (DIP) for Families, a positively unique program that is under the authority and sponsorship of the Brookland-Lakeview Empowerment Center.
“I learned so much about diabetes and how to control its harmful effects,” said Crespo, a diabetic who experienced a lowering of her A1C and lost 14 pounds during the free program. “I can say without any doubt that all the participants are thankful for such an incredible learning experience.”
