Cultivating Growth and Opportunity
At the Brookland-Lakeview Empowerment Center, our mission is to engage and serve individuals of all ages and backgrounds, focusing on advancing health, education, and economic empowerment. We are committed to improving the lives of residents in Lexington and Richland counties, as well as neighboring communities throughout the Midlands of South Carolina. Our goals are centered on human service, fostering community, cultural service, sustainability, and partnership.
Goal 1: To improve the quality of life for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Goal 2: To offer socio-economic opportunities that would enrich the lives of senior citizens.
Goal 3: To provide a safe, inviting environment for seniors, adults, and youth to participate in physical and cultural activities that promote health and wellness.
Goal 4: To recapture the historic significance of the Center and its important role in the community serving as a focal point of civic pride.
Goal 5: To cultivate collaborative relationships with community partners.
