Dr. Cindye Richburg-Cotton, executive director of the Brookland-Lakeview Empowerment Center (BLEC) has been named a Region Ambassador for the WeGOJA Foundation. The ambassadors will seek community input as WeGOJA develops its Preservation Toolkit for South Carolina.
In addition to in-person listening sessions, the WeGOJA Foundation will host virtual sessions on select Thursday evenings beginning in September and offer a survey as alternatives when in-person meetings are inconvenient.
In the fall of 2024, Region Ambassadors will reach out to the communities again to train interested people on how to use the newly developed toolkit.
