Brookland Lakeview

African American women ages 18+ with a BMI of 25 or higher are invited to attend a free, two-hour lifestyle education session on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at the Brookland-Lakeview Empowerment Center (Lakeview School Museum).

This faith-integrated program focuses on nutrition, understanding the health risks associated with overweight and obesity, scripture-based encouragement, and light resistance-based exercise to support healthy lifestyle changes.
