Brookland Center for Community Economic Change (BCCEC)
The Brookland Lakeview Empowerment Center is a major initiative of the Brookland Center for Community Economic Change, a non-profit organization with the mission of mobilizing support of health, education and economics to improve the quality of life for the citizens of the surrounding areas. The center is the former Lakeview/Northside School facility and is comprised of approximately 94,000 square feet, including a gymnasium and football field that is open to the entire community. The Center serves to empower and enrich families to restore and rebuild communities. Some outreach programs includes social and educational activities for senior citizens, health seminars for adults and families, and athletics and mentoring programs for youth and teens.
